This is our off weekend for T-ball but we wouldn't have played anyway because all games were canceled AGAIN... fields too muddy!
Started out the morning with a yummy breakfast with good friends at Cracker Barrell.
Then, the 4 of us headed to the land for a clean up/work day. The boys were even a big help in picking up aluminum cans. Yes, we are finding lots of cans and plastic coke jugs around in piles. "Who does this" is what I kept asking myself as we kept finding more and more.
Five hours later and a trailer piled high of aluminum, lead, tin and short iron.. filthy and tired, we loaded up and headed to recycle it in FW.
Oh..and forgot to mention the snake Charlie killed. He thinks it was a copperhead but not for sure. After shooting it 3 times, he had to finally kill it with a shovel.. YUCK!! Of course the boys wanted to see it and I couldn't get far enough away.
It was so nice to have gotten some of the junk cleaned up but even better when we found out we were getting paid $165 for it all.
YEA US!!
