It's also a tradition at our house to roast the seeds. Just sprinkle a little garlic salt on and cook slowly at 325 until they are golden. Oh.. So good..and healthy!! Only 3 days later and all of our seeds from 2 pumpkins have been consumed.
Then last night we joined some of our good friends at their church for Trunk-or-Treat. Eli still doesn't quite get why you put the candy in the bag. He wants to eat every piece he gets, right then!! Thanks Edwards!... We had a fun time!!
DATE NIGHT
Charlie and I went out tonight and actually got a teenage babysitter to watch our children. This is a rare occasion for us since we have wonderful 2nd Grandmothers that go to our church and love sitting with our boys. And sometimes Nana will come and help us out too. This was the first time we've had a teen girl come over since before Eli was born, and that was only once.
We have just been a little protective, I guess, but we knew eventually we would just need to find a good, trustable sitter that we could call on. So.. I'm glad we finally jumped in and did it. She did great!
Eli went down at normal 7:00.
Will, on the other hand, told her that it just wasn't time for him to go to bed yet. Oh..Maybe this is why we've been reluctant to have a younger sitter! We knew Will might think he could get away with most anything?!
This picture below is what we found when we got home at 9:25... A very sleepy boy that crashed across the arms of the recliner. Doesn't look very comfy!!
He told the sitter that he didn't feel good, didn't need to go to sleep yet,...you name it!!
Another funny he asked her(she told me before she left because she thought it was pretty funny too)... "Did you enjoy babysitting me?" "Can I tell my Mommy and Daddy that I want you to babysit me again?"
