Not too far from home is a neat Safari Park and Dinosaur Park that we knew the boys would enjoy. So between our busy schedules of soccer, baseball, and everything else, we decided to just do it!! It was a lot of work for just one night but we all decided it was well worth it. Sometimes even if things seem too much trouble, we should just let loose and go for it, especially while we're still so young.. right?!
We found a great private camp on the river that turned out to be a "return to" place. Will even said his favorite part of the weekend was camping and riding his bike with a friend he met at the campsite.
The Dinosaur Park was interesting but really, Will hasn't ever been all that into dinosaurs, so he was more interested in just putting his feet in the river.
The Safari was really neat, but too long for 2 very tired boys. Will was scared of the Ostriches but liked feeding the animals if he could just throw it on the ground. Eli enjoyed watching the animals for a while but then just wanted to help Charlie drive.
Ending the weekend with some good country cookin'
